Gingsanglek Tor Laksong vs. Kongthoranee Sor Sommai is an excellent example of why you must keep a good guard.

Gingsanglek had a great plan that was working for him, but towards the end he got just sloppy enough for Kongthoranee to slip in that hook to the jaw. Kongthoranee landed that exact punch multiple times in the fight, and on re-watching it in slow-mo, its obvious that Kongthoranee saw the opening and just waited for it.

So keep your guard strong, and don't get cocky!
