You've done the work, now it's time for desert!
General Advice
-
Talk to your coach, and trust them implicitly. You need to get warm, but not expend much energy. They'll know how to do that.
-
Breathing can be used to hype you up, and calm you down, and everything in between.
The Ologies podcast interviewed a laryngologist, and one of the things they talk about is high stress situation (Part 1, at 34:15), specifically for performing as an athlete or musician. It's a resource for learning how to breath for your best outcome.

Keep your motivations top of mind (these are mine ). Write them down and keep them with you. On paper, on your phone, on the back of your hand, whatever works for you.
It doesn't always happen to me, but I have had fights where I stopped wanting to be there. Both before the fight and during. And that sucks. You may be able to power through it, but I found that simply writing it down and keeping it where I could see it (my whiteboard at work specifically), had a dramatic affect on my desire to fight and continue.
